First Impressions教學設計
一、教材分析
本課時教學內容是人教版《普通高中課程標準實驗教科書·英語·必修5》(高中二年級第2學期)Unit3 Life in the future中Reading First Impressions的第一課時。
該文本為一篇科幻類的回憶信件。講述了作者李強乘坐時間機器去到了未來3008時候的自己的家鄉。在3008年自己的家鄉中,李強經歷了周圍環境,交通工具,自己家鄉以及人們居住房子的一系列不同于2008年的變化。在這樣的變化中,李強表達了自己的感受和體驗。
在閱讀此文時,對學生的想象力,學生的批判性思考的能力都有一定的要求。學生在跟著李強感受未來1000年后的變化的同時也要及時的有自己的思考。明白未來的這些變化究竟是好還是不好。
同時,該文本為email格式,但又因為李強與父母間的特殊關系,所以在文本中可以清晰看到非正式書信體的文本特征。同時,文章處處體現出如何描寫一個人的印象,無論從文章的立意,語言的呈現,如如何回憶,如何描寫個人心情,如何,描寫一個地方等都對于學生了解文本的特色,幫助學生概括文章大意,以及幫助學生讀后寫作有著一定的幫助。
二、學情分析
學生對于email,這種文體形式還是比較熟悉的,但平時看的寫的較多的都是正式信件,對于非正式信件接觸較少,可以提醒他們注意區別兩種信件所用的語言的不同。
從文本內容層面來看,本文涉及到的環境,交通,城市已經房屋等比較貼近學生的生活,學生應該對于近幾年來的整個社會的變化有一定的感受,因此在閱讀本問的內容信息上應該難度不大。
從文本功能語言的角度來看,本文主要涉及到的如何進行回憶,如何描述一個人的情感,如何介紹一個地方等語言文字也并沒有存在非常難的詞匯和句型結構,但是學生是否能夠在看得懂的基礎上靈活的運用進自己的作文中,存在一定的困難,因此在學習本文時,應該盡量提醒學生同時盡可能幫助學生進行相應的表達結構上的補充和擴展。
從情感態度價值觀上來看,通過本文的學習,能夠幫助學生在想象力上,批判思維上,以及用客觀的眼光來看待世界發展變化上有一定的啟發和提升。比如:學生應該要在閱讀文本的基礎上,反思現在的環境污染問題,在心中形成環保的理念和正確的態度,要有“綠色”意識;在看待世界發展變化這件事情上能夠從客觀的角度來看待世界的發展變化,明確“高科技”這一理念對世界的發展變化是起到了非常重要的作用的。但是同時也要形成要從客觀的角度來看待世界發展變化, 既這一變化是既有好的一面,又有不好的一面。
三、教學目標
根據英語學科核心素養的要求,從語言學習、閱讀策略、思維訓練和文化意識等方面對該閱讀文本的教學目標進行設計,力求在有所側重的情況下達成平衡。
1. 語言學習:
(1)學生能夠通過閱讀明確文本體裁特征為email形式,并且能夠了解由于寫信人和收信人關系的親疏,信件有正式和非正式之分。并且在課后能夠寫一封回信。
(2)學生能夠通過本文的學習,了解和掌握如何描寫個人印象。
① How to recall one’s memory: I have to remind myself constantly that...; I can still remember the moment when...
② How to describe the actions: At first; Then; Soon;
③ How to describe one’s feelings: as though; I realized that...; I found that... ④ How to describe a place: We reached what looked like a market.
2. 閱讀策略:
(1)學生能夠通過標題和插圖,練習預測的能力,預測文本內容,概括文章主要內容; (2)學生能夠通過跳讀和掃讀,練習快速尋找信息的能力;
3. 思維訓練:
(1)邏輯思維能力:學生能夠通過信件中細節的閱讀,感受作者在未來3008年通過對環境,交通,城市

和房子的變化來體會作者的感受和態度;
(2)批判性思維能力:學生能夠通過對未來3008年世界的變化的好壞,來反思環境保護和促進科技發展的重要性,提高“綠色”這一理念的認知和“高科技”對社會發展的重要性的認識。
(3)想象思維能力:學生能夠在文本閱讀過程中,通過想象未來世界的變化從而訓練學生的發散思維。
4. 文化意識:學生通過該文本的閱讀,能夠增強環保意識和明確高科技對社會發展的重要性。 四、教學重難點

六、教學過程
Step 1:Lead-in:
Lead in the topic of “world’s changes” by showing students a video. While watching the video, students will be able to make notes in the work sheet.

【設計意圖】 利用視頻對學生的沖擊,激發學生對文本的興趣。同時在學生帶著問題觀看視頻時,記錄下四個方面的變化,并在worksheet上寫下關鍵詞。引導學生在一開始就進入批判性思考。同時詢問學生對這些變化的態度,再次引導學生對帶著批判的眼光對四個方面的變化進行評價,為之后的文本閱讀做出內容和態度上的鋪墊。
