1. 歸納出文章的篇章結構； 2. 掌握記敘文的線索：事件和人物；
3. 分享對文中重點人物活動分析而推斷出的品行和特點。
整體設計
讓作業服務課堂教學。帶領學生讀出文章的脈絡、重點以及人物的分析，以此培養學生的推理和歸納能力，拓寬文化視野和引導價值取向。
教學過程
Homework
checking (5minutes) The students revise vocabulary
Collections and presentations of the 8 aspects in warming up Skimming and scanning (26minutes) a. Students predict about the title(type, features, main ideas and order) b. Students read for the general idea and structure (mind-map)
c. Student read for specific information.(events and great collectors) Discussion (8 minutes) The students discuss the suitable structure , esp. the belonging of para 7
The students discuss why great collectors are mentioned and what made them successful..
Homework (1 minute)
The students are required to explore and discover the exploration of plants in the 20th century and after
The students are expected to present it in the same way as the text.
