教學設計
一、設計理念 王薔教授指出,當前英語課程改革的新動向主要包括關注學科育人價值、關注學生思維發展、關注學科核心素養(語言能力、學習能力、思維品質和文化品格)三方面。英語學科教學理念從關注知識和技能,到培養學生的綜合語言運用能力,即語言知識、語言技能、情感態度價值觀、跨文化意識和學習策略五方面,然而,對于學生思維品質和能力的培養重視不夠,教師對于語境創設不充分,對語篇意義關注不夠,尤其是如何運用英語分析問題和解決問題的能力需要更多的關注。為此,本教學設計將圍繞特定主題展開,讓學生在語境中體會重點詞及詞組的用法,并針對主題所體現的社會問題,運用所學語言展開討論,學生在發表觀點的過程中能正確和自發的運用所學語言。 二、教材分析
本單元話題為野生動物保護,本堂課內容在閱讀課之后,閱讀語篇講述了一個女孩的夢中經歷,向讀者介紹了三種野生動物在西藏、津巴布韋和熱帶雨林的不同境遇,雖然他們面臨的問題各不相同,但剛好從不同的側面讓學生意識到保護野生動物的重要性,引起學生保護野生動物的責任感。因后期using language部分將學習恐龍滅絕的有關內容,與學生有距離感。因此,本設計從北京電視臺熱播的一檔節目“熊貓奇緣”切入主題,在保護大熊貓的過程中必然要談到以前的狀況、采取的措施和所取得的效果,那么,如何用英語合理的表達大熊貓的現狀、所遇到的問題、原因和相應措施,以及大熊貓作為一種“友好大使”在促進中國與外國的友誼與相互了解中的重要作用是高中學生理應具備的能力。本設計通過創設語境,仔細篩選本單元重點詞和詞組,具體包括 rare, wild, as a result, decrease, in danger(of),in relief, , pay attention to, appreciate,.
三、學生主體分析
本堂課的學生來自高一(12)班,該班學生喜歡輕松的話題。為此,本設計《熊貓奇緣》節目為語境的主要來源,為語言點的生成做好話題和語境上的鋪墊。該班學生的語言學習興趣較濃,敢于發表自身的看法,但缺乏對詞尤其是用法的系統認知和理解,尚且不會運用。針對此種學情,確定上述教學內容和方法。 四、教學目標 (一)語言能力
1、學生能正確說出重點詞及詞組的用法:rare, wild, as a result, decrease, in danger(of),in relief, , pay attention to, appreciate,.
2、學生能正確使用上述重點詞及詞組的用法來表達自己的觀點。 (二)學習能力
3、學生能通過個人、同伴互助和小組討論等方式,在觀察、思考、游戲等過程中,正確歸
納、比較和運用重點詞和詞組的涵義和用法。 (三)思維品質
4、學生能運用批判性思維,辯證看待《熊貓奇緣》真人秀欄目的存在。 (四)文化品格
5、學生能學會在日常生活中,不僅了解野生動物的處境,更要意識到保護野生動物的重要性,用實際的行動去關愛、保護身邊的野生動植物,主動去保護環境。 【教學重點】
能理解歸納本單元重點詞及詞組的意義和用法; 【教學難點】
能在語境中在連詞成句和自由發表觀點中正確運用以上詞及詞組輸出語言。
五、教學流程 Step1: Greetings

T presents the short video of 《熊貓奇緣》 and asks Ss T: What do they think of these animals?
Ss are very interested in the video, and they feel relaxed and free to express their opinions.
【設計意圖】通過分享課前所看視頻的感受,自然過渡到課堂教學。讓學生在輕松的氛圍中開始學習。同時引出單詞rare.
Step3: Discover the usage of key words (32 mins) 1. rare, wild
It was a kind of ordinary wild animal in China long ago. It used to live in the wild. But now it is a rare animal and is known as the national treasure of China. Rarely can it be seen in a wild area.
T guides Ss to summarize the usage of “rare” and “wild” from the context.
Activity1: guessing
T: Pandas are so lovely that visitors feel wild with joy to see them. Please guess the meaning of “wild with joy”.

Then ask Ss to summarize the usage .

Ss watch a short clip of Show with Pandas. T introduces the context and the usage of attention.
T: When he was young, Bath’s performance attract people’s attention. But as he grows older, people fix their attention on his health condition. To protect him better, Bath is stopped from performing.
【設計意圖】教師引導學生注意名詞attention前面的修飾詞和被動語態的運用。 7. SS watch a short clip of Show with Pandas T: From this short video, what can we see?
Bath is under good protection. Feeders pay much attention to his diet and
exercise.Bamboo is of importance in protecting pandas’ stomach. At the same time, as he grows older Bath can’t respond to feeders, and they all wait for his response. Therefore, it’s hard for the feeder to appreciate what's wrong with him. Seeing Bath is sick, many visitors burst into tears, expressing their concern and appreciation to him.

SS watch another short clip of Show with Pandas
Taking medicine can relieve pain of/from Bath. It is a relief to see him get out of the miss for the former feeder, so the new feeder gives a smile of relief. Much to our relief, he lives in peace with human beings.
【設計意圖】通過觀看視頻片斷,感受真實語境,從而深刻體會relieve用法,最后讓學生一同產出。 Step 4: Discussion (6 mins)
Ss discuss the topic “Should the program Show with Pandas keep on?”in a group of four and present their ideas.
T: Do you know how people feel about this program? Read their opinions.
T: Obviously, people hold different opinions about whether the program should go on. A mixture of enjoyment and worry often rises from people's hearts. What is your opinion?
Pick one side and state your reasons. It’s better if you can use what we've learned today.

如果說上一個活動是有限制的運用,那么,該設計能讓學生自由發揮,針對現實中存在的熱點問題,學生積極地發表自己的觀點,不僅能有效的輸出語言,從而檢測本堂課的教學目標,更能鍛煉學生的批判性思維能力。 Step 5: Conclusion and Assignment
T: this unit is about wildlife protection, so please write a short passage covering the following points.
1.What problems are wild pandas facing in China?
2. What has China done to solve the problem? Good results? 3. What can we do to help more endangered animals? Use as many words and phrases we’ve learnt as you can.

經過一堂課的學習,在話題內容和語言上均做了一定的鋪墊。可以鞏固所學詞匯,同時就如何保護更多瀕危動物發表自己的看法。
