I. Teaching aims
1. Knowledge and skill
Help students learn to use the reading skills (jigsaw reading and fast reading) to catch the important information of the reading passage so that they can improve their ability of understanding and analysing the passage to master the reading skills. 2. Process and methods
By using the task-based activity and jigsaw reading skill in the whole teaching process, the teacher leads students to learn in groups, practice and cooperate each other in oder to help students present themselves and improve their ability of using language to do something. 3. Emotion, attitude and value
Help students understand the difference between common parks and theme parks and guide students to set up correct world outlook and the outlook on life. Theme parks are not only fun to visit, but also can be educational and offer useful information.
II. Teaching analysis
The topic of this unit is “Theme parks”, including three main theme parks: Disneyland, Dollywood and Camelot, the teacher needs to help students understand the difference between common parks and theme parks as well as the development of theme parks. Students are very familiar with this topic and are interested in it. The Senior two students have accumulated much in English language and the reading skills, so it is essential to help them improve the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing so as to enhance the efficiency of learning.
III. Teaching important and difficult points
1. Help students learn to catch the language knowledge and information knowledge by using the task-based activity. Cultivate students' ability of obtaining information, processing information ,analysing and solving problems in English.
2. Provide useful guidance in effective reading strategies,such as skimming, scanning and jigsaw reading
3. Cultivate students’ ability of language input and language output.
4. Pay more attention to stimulating students' imagination and cultivating students' innovative thinking in order to enhance their overall quality.

[設計說明] 在學習完整篇文章之后,學生對文章中的三個主題公園的主題和活動了解很好,能體會到主題公園與一般公園的區(qū)別,在此基礎(chǔ)上進而進行寫與說的練習,設計學生們自己的主題公園,要求學生在特定的問題語境中進行課文語言的遷移運用,培養(yǎng)學生思維的廣闊性、靈活性和深刻性。另外,本任務也是對本節(jié)課的概括與總結(jié),是落實情感、態(tài)度及價值觀目標的有效手段,學生通過設計自己的主題公園會更全面、更到位的理解主題公園不僅僅是娛樂,還有各種各樣的知識和激動人心的新體驗。

After designing our own theme park in a group, ask the representative of each group to take turns to have a report in class.
Step 7 Summary
In this class, we have learned three theme parks in the reading passage: Disneyland, Dollywood and Camelot Park. The students also design many great theme parks in a group of six people in the class.
Step 8 Homework
1.Write a short passage to make a brief introduction about your theme park. 2. Finish exercise 1,2,3 on page36.
[設計說明] 寫作是為了讓學生對課堂的主題公園設計進一步完善,達到所學會所用,所學能所用的目的。課本上的練習是對文章中詞匯的進一步復習鞏固練習。

VIII. Teaching reflection
通過本節(jié)課主題公園:Disneyland, Dollywood和Camelot的學習,學生了解到了主題公園與一般公園的異同和主題公園的發(fā)展,也學會了運用拼圖式閱讀方法。學生們對于本單元這一話題很熟悉,也很感興趣,加之高二的學生在英語語言上已經(jīng)有了一定的積累,所以學生們在課堂上能夠順暢的小組合作設計出他們自己的主題公園,學生們學會了互相合作,互相幫助。在這節(jié)課中,教師熟練使用多媒體設備,包括電子白板和投影儀的使用;教師利用手機QQ客戶端和電腦QQ客戶端通過網(wǎng)路當堂傳輸學生設計的主題公園作品到顯示屏上,這使學生耳目一新,也增強了學生的自信心。
