T: Look at the screen. Do you know the picture? (Show a picture) Ss: Yes. 
T: It is about a cartoon named Tom and Jerry. Tom is a cat and Jerry is a mouse. Well, we will enjoy a short part about it and then you will be asked to tell us what happened in the scene. Do you understand? Ss: Yes. 
T: Now who wants to tell us what happened in the scene? S1: ... 
                            S2: ... 
T: Well, look at the screen. 
Jerry ate Tom’s fish. (Tom’s fish was eaten by Jerry.)       Tom caught Jerry. (Jerry was caught by Tom.) Step Ⅱ The Passive Voice 
Revise the Passive Voice: be + past participle (be + V-ed) The passive forms of different tenses: 一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)： am / is / are ＋ done 一般過去時(shí)： was / were ＋ done 一般將來時(shí)： will / shall be ＋ done 過去將來時(shí)： would be ＋ done 現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)： am / is / are being＋done 過去進(jìn)行時(shí)： was / were being＋done 現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)： have / has been＋done 過去完成時(shí)： had been＋done Step Ⅲ  The Passive Infinitive 
T: Next, we will learn the passive infinitive. First, we will watch a video clip to learn the form of passive infinitive. 
T: (After that) Who wants to tell us the form of passive infinitive. S3:  to be done      to have been done 
T: Then we will watch another video clip to learn the use of passive

T: (After that) Now who can tell us the use of passive infinitive? S4: It can be used as subject, object, attribute, adverbial and object complement and complex predicate. 
T: Look at some sentences and then tell us the use of passive infinitive in each sentence. Show the following sentences: 
1. It is necessary for him to have been criticized. 2. She preferred to have been given heavy work. 3. He wanted the letter to be typed at once. 
4. The book is said to have been translated into many languages. 5. Do you have anything to be washed?  6. The case was too heavy to be carried by a child. Answers: 
1. Subject 2. object 3. object complement 4. complex predicate 5. attribute  6. adverbial. Step Ⅳ Practice
