第二，內(nèi)容:它報(bào)道的是一個(gè)男孩神秘失蹤的事件，其失蹤原因可能與外星人有關(guān)，因此在教學(xué)中讓學(xué)生了解這些人類未知的事情并展開討論和活動(dòng)會(huì)激發(fā)學(xué)生的想象力和探索精神。 
第三，結(jié)構(gòu):文章段落清晰，具有新聞報(bào)道典型的寫作順序和特點(diǎn)，所以在教學(xué)過程中應(yīng)引導(dǎo)學(xué)生體會(huì)并借鑒這種典型結(jié)構(gòu)，為學(xué)生將來的寫作打下基礎(chǔ)。 
學(xué)生分析 
這堂課的教學(xué)對(duì)象是高一年級(jí)學(xué)生，英語基本功不夠扎實(shí)，而且對(duì)英語學(xué)習(xí)的興趣不是很濃，因此調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣，并引導(dǎo)學(xué)生掌握一些閱讀策略是課堂的關(guān)鍵。另外，他們雖然已經(jīng)掌握了一定的詞匯量，但是還不是很多，所以有的單詞對(duì)他們來說還是生詞，這需要我們?nèi)�掃清詞匯障礙，但同時(shí)又要著重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的理解能力和用英語描述行動(dòng)的能力。

Guide the students to read a news story by keeping WH-questions in mind. 3. Emotion

Q: (1) What information can you get from the title? 
  (2) What other information do you want to get from the story? 
3. Read the first paragraph and learn what information they can get from it.The 1st paragraph gives the main topic and most important facts. 
4.  Read the rest part of the story to get the detailed information.  
Step 3 Consolidation 
1. Ask the students to read a table and fill in the blanks. 2. Competition 
Give the students 9 statements and ask them to decide whether they are true or false. 
WH-questions are important when we’re reading a news story. They can help us understand the story better. 
Step 4 Discussion 
Divide the whole class into several groups. Help students to arouse the students’ interesting of mysterious things.

2. Ask the students to say something to the boy. Step 5 Summary 
1. summarize the mine idea of this text 
2. Introduce a famous saying from Albert Einstein to the students. 
Step 5 Homework
