教學目標:
1. 知識與技能:聽懂有關抽煙、吸毒及其危害的話語并獲取信息,學會抓住關鍵意思進行summarizing;談論有關吸煙和吸毒危害的話題和勸阻、幫助別人戒煙的話題。
2. 過程與方法:理解含有所學生詞、詞組的句子和段落并獲取信息;理解有關抽煙、吸毒及其危害的材料并獲取信息;找出段落和文章的從屬關系;用語調表達語氣和情感;自如表達抽煙、吸毒的危害。
3. 情感、態度、價值觀:提高自我保護意識,養成良好生活習慣,遠離毒品;吸煙造成環境污染,發現抽煙者在公共場所抽煙,要學會勸說;關愛社會,關愛他人,熱情參與社會公益活動,幫助沾染壞習慣的弱勢人群。 學情分析:
高一學生,有一定的語言功底,且樂于表達他們的思想。 重難點: 學習語法,培養對因果關系的判斷和分析能力;通過聽和讀培養抓住和辨別信息要點的能力;通過從屬關系的判斷,培養前后聯系、部分和整體聯系的思維能力;通過說和寫的訓練,培養根據事實分析、歸納的邏輯能力和表達能力。 教學步驟:
Step 1: Warming up---Review the words
There are three activities in this part to help students review the words they have learned in this module.
Activity 1: Match the words with their meanings.
Activity 2: Guess the words based on the explanation. Activity 3: Fill in the blanks.

Discuss the reasons why people smoke and the bad effects smoking brings to people. Step 3: Fast reading---Listen to the passage and then answer the question: What’s the passage about?
It’s about advice given to people on how to give up smoking. Step 4: Detailed reading
Read the passage aloud and try to find the answers to the two questions: 1. What are the four Ds? 2. What are the suggestions mentioned in this passage to help people give up smoking?
