教材分析
本單元是人教版新目標英語八年級下冊第十單元,也是最后一個單元。要求學(xué)生能聽懂談?wù)撊藗儞碛心澄锒嚅L時間的話題,能熟練運用since, for 談?wù)撟约旱膫人物品。此前,學(xué)生已學(xué)過了九個單元的新目標英語,對整個課程的教學(xué)模式有了一定的了解,具備一定的聽、說、讀、寫的基礎(chǔ)。對于現(xiàn)在完成時的用法前兩個單元已經(jīng)有所接觸,為本單元學(xué)習(xí)和表達打下了基礎(chǔ)。通過本單元的進一步學(xué)習(xí),使學(xué)生能夠更加熟練地運用目標語言進行交際活動。
(一)語言知識目標
1、詞匯:yard sale, toy, bear, bread maker, scarf, dress, sweater, sweet, memory etc.
2、句型:
① —How long have you had the„? —I have had „ for/since„.
② —How much is it? —You can have it for„yuan.
(二)語言技能目標
1、掌握for和since的區(qū)別使用。
2、學(xué)會談?wù)摀碛形锲返男畔ⅰ?nbsp;
(三)語言情感目標:
學(xué)生能夠運用for/since 自由造句, 結(jié)合現(xiàn)在完成時談?wù)摳嚓P(guān)于自己或他人的信息。同時由此句型引入父母的養(yǎng)育之恩, 使其學(xué)會感恩父母。
(四)教學(xué)策略目標
1、管理策略:
本班學(xué)生英語水平參差不齊,一些學(xué)生因為基礎(chǔ)較差難以參與到課堂活動中來,缺乏自信不敢開口回答。對于這些學(xué)生應(yīng)盡量鼓勵他們,設(shè)計比較簡單的任務(wù)來讓他們體驗成功感,從而提高他們對英語學(xué)習(xí)的興趣與自信心;對于接受能力比較強的學(xué)生,設(shè)計一些難度比較高的任務(wù),如復(fù)述、做報告等,讓他們也能“吃得飽”。
2、自學(xué)策略:引導(dǎo)學(xué)生調(diào)動已有的知識,根據(jù)情境推測答案,能自己總結(jié)歸納做題的技巧。
(五)教學(xué)重難點 1、教學(xué)重點:
① 掌握for和since的區(qū)別使用。
② 運用目標語言,學(xué)會談?wù)摀碛形锲返男畔ⅰ?nbsp;
2、教學(xué)難點:
① 運用for和since句型進行表達和交流.
② 把目標語言運用到日常生活交際中。
教學(xué)過程
Step 1: Lead-in & presentation
T: Last weekend, I cleaned my house and I found that I have a lot of old and useless things. I have collected these things for many years. But I will not use them anymore.
T: (show the pictures and ask the students what they are to teach the new words) Now let’s see what old things I have.
To teach the new words: toy, bear, toy bear, soft toy, bread maker, board, board game, etc.
Step 2: presentation( to learn the new drill) Show the picture and the time
T: I bought the bike in 2011. So I can say I have had the bike for 6 years.
I have had the bike since 6 years ago. I have had the bike since 2011.
It has been 6 years since I bought the bike.
Show the different objects and timeline to practice the structure (toy bear, soft toy, magazine, clothes, board game, etc.)
Step 3 Par work:
A: Mary, how long have you had the…? B: I have had the … for… Since…
Step 4: Introduce the yard sale
T: I have so many old things. If you have so many old things. What are you going to deal with them?
Ss:We can keep them. We can sell them.
And we can give them away to people in need.
T: To sell the old things. We can have a yard sale. (showing the picture of yard sale)
Step 5: 1a
T: (show the picture of 1a) what can you see in the picture. Ss: a yard sale
T: what old things did the boy sell?
Ss: He sells an old bike, a lamp, some magazines and books, toys… T: What is Amy doing?
Ss: She is buying the old things from the sale.
T: Now, let’s listen to a conversation and finish the exercise.
Students can choose to finish the exercise with one star or two stars freely. Listen again and fill in the blanks.
Listen for the third time and read the tapescript together
Step 6:Pairwork( Having a yard sale) Amy: These are really old ___________. Jeff: Yes, I’ve had them for __________.
(Yes, I’ve had them since __________.) Amy: Why are you selling them?
Jeff: Because _____________________. Amy: How much are they?
Jeff: You can have them for _____cents.
Step7: Group work
T: let’s make a survey. What are you going to give away to the kids in poor areas and give a report.
In our group, there are four students. I am going to give away….to them. I have had it for….\since…. Because …
Tom is going to give away….to them. I has had it for….\since... Because …
Step 8:
