本單元是在八九單元的基礎上,進一步強化現在完成時的運用。學生已有一定的基礎,能夠描述對周圍事物的情感,恰當地表達感受,能掌握延續性動詞的用法,并在具體情境中加以運用。八年級的學生比較活躍,在不同的活動形式中培養合作精神,提高其綜合運用語言的能力,同事讓學生們通過閱讀有關離鄉人對家鄉的談論,理解體會思鄉的情感。

教學意圖:用一首關于故鄉的歌導入到故鄉這個話題,簡單介紹過去十堰人背井離鄉,為后面的學習任務做鋪墊。
活動2【活動】pre－reading 評論
1. Have students talk about three questions before they read, teacher write down their answers on the Bb.
Q1: Why do millions of Chinese leave the countryside every year?
Q2: How often do you think these people visit their hometowns?
Q3: What new buildings does the government usually build in towns and villages?
2. Have students skim the passage to find out if their answers are the same as in the passage.
教學意圖:讓學生運用已學過的知識預測文章內容,然后瀏覽文章,檢驗預測答案是否和文章中的信息一樣。貫徹運用了本單元的閱讀策略,培養了學生的閱讀能力。
