Section B (3a-3b)
Step1 warm up 1. A guessing game.
Show the first line or the most famous sentence in a book. Students guess which book it is.
2. Guess a song’s name.
Step 2 Presentation 1. Some facts of my idol 2. The reason why I like my idol. 3. What I have done for my idol. 4. What I can learn from my idol.
Step 3 Practice
The teacher show an article and let all the students help to polish the article. Then introduce three strategies in writing:
1. Enrich the language and use different sentence patterns. 2. Choose a suitable tense to make the sentence appropriate. 3. We should choose suitable linking words.
Step 4 writing
1. Have Students write about their idols.
2. Invite some students to share their articles and other students comment on the articles.
