一、教學內容分析
教材分析
本節課的教學內容為人教版Go for it! 九年級Unit 11 Sad movies make me cry. Section A 3a-3c閱讀部分，及Section B1a-1e聽力部分。這是一節閱讀和聽力的混合課型。主要話題圍繞童話故事The Shirt of a Happy Man. 在閱讀和聽力兩部分中展開，部分教學活動設計較為開放，旨在培養學生的文化品格和思維品質，提升閱讀素養。課前學案的介入，極大地減輕了教師和學生語言知識層面的壓力，不僅讓教師能夠放手整合教材，而且也將學生的關注點引向深層次的學習。
學情分析
八年六班一共有41名學生，其中3人思維能力及語言加工能力比較突出；10余人思維能力較好，語言加工能力一般；不足20人能夠形成自己的觀點，語言表述需要支援；還有將近10人語言輸出能力無法支撐自己的觀點表達。班級多數學生具有學習英語的熱情，能夠在教師的引導下主動完成學習任務。
教學項目
詞語 P83&P85
通過預習學案使學生初步感知和理解相應的詞語及含義，在課堂學習中強化power, wealth, fame, king, banker等詞語的運用
閱讀 P83-3a
通過預習使學生在家完成淺層閱讀，即了解閱讀文章的主旨大意；通過課堂學習使學生完成深層閱讀，即如何獲得快樂 聽力 P85-1c1d
通過聽前預測故事結局激發學生聽的愿望；通過判斷故事情節培養學生捕捉信息的能力；通過回答問題培養學生理解信息、加工和處理信息的能力；通過整個聽力活動為3a閱讀豐富內容，引發討論環節。

語言能力
全體學生能夠理解閱讀語篇的框架結構和含義；絕大多數學生能夠形成自己的關于“如何獲得快樂”的觀點；部分學生能夠討論自己觀點形成的原因。

思維品質
通過閱讀思維導圖的設計和討論環節的設計，部分學生能夠批判地、開放地看待問題（即如何獲得快樂）。

多數學生能夠體驗關鍵詞、結構建構閱讀技巧；
多數學生能夠學會在聽力中捕捉信息、理解信息，及在聽力后加工信息、處理信息。

二、課堂教學過程 Step 1: Before reading
a. Free talk: Are you a happy person?
b. Ask questions about the story to see how students understand it by reading the story the day before.
Step 2: While reading
a. Read the story again and answer questions.
Offer three open questions to help students realize power, wealth and fame can’t make people happy. b. Discussion.
Encourage students to talk about the ending of the story. c. Role play the ending.
Work in groups to act out the ending which is possible.
Step 3: Listening
a. Listen and answer the questions.
b. Listen and try to find out the ending of the story.
Step 4: Post reading
Discuss some advice about how to be happy. Step 5: Conclusion
Life is full of pain and happiness. Face them in a positive way and try to be
a happy man. Step 6: Homework
Think of an experience that made you unhappy. Write a story to tell us how
you solved it.
