①連接（連接定語(yǔ)從句和主句） ②替代（替代前面的先行詞）  
     ③成分（在定語(yǔ)從句中要充當(dāng)一定的句子成分）。      4.Do some exercises 
    根據(jù)句意, 用正確的關(guān)系代詞填空。

注：如關(guān)系代詞前有介詞，指人要用whom，指物要用which且不可省略。 5.Show some special rules of that and do some exercises 通常只使用that的場(chǎng)合 
①先行詞是all, anything, everything, something, nothing 時(shí)； ②先行詞被the only, the very, the same ,the last, the just 等修飾時(shí)；  ③先行詞被最高級(jí) 、序數(shù)詞修飾時(shí)；  ④先行詞既有人, 又有物； 
⑤主句是以 which或 who開頭的特殊疑問(wèn)句時(shí)

Step 3 A guessing game 
      1.Give an example of how to describe a person         She is a teacher who wears a pair of glasses.  
She is a humorous woman who often makes us laugh. She is a teacher that is also strict with us. 
      2.Ask the students to describe their classmates by using attributive clauses         Try to use attributive clause to describe your classmate 
Don’t tell us his/her name. Use at least 2 sentences. 
Step 4 Appreciating  
      Appreciate a short passage and recite in class.       Don’t forget the things that once you owned.  
Treasure the things that you can’t get.  Don't give up the things that belong to you and  keep those lost things in memory. Step 5 Reappearing 
      Show some attributive clauses which appear in the last units 
They carry people’s wishes to the families they love and miss. (Unit 2  P11)
