一、教材分析:
本模塊的Unit 2 是<<英語>> (新標準)系列教材中MODULE 8的第二個單元,根據新標準的要求, 第二單元是以培養學生的讀寫能力為主,包括詞匯,語法的學習活動。通過unit 1中談論“Tony的生日過程”的聽說活動,過渡到本單元“如何為他人選擇禮物”的讀寫活動,通過逐步遞進,由易到難的教學以及活動,培養學生基礎語言能力,閱讀能力和語言聽說能力的訓練 , 最終實現聽說讀寫的綜合學習, 實現本模塊的任務教學。 二、Teaching aims
1. To get information from the reading material about choosing birthday presents. 2. To write a description of one’s partner. 3. To get to know compound nouns. 三、Teaching Objectives 1. Key vocabulary:

使學生能從閱讀材料中尋找“選擇生日禮物”的信息,了解異國送禮習俗,培養學生樂于交友,樂于與他人合作,健康向上的品格。 五、Learning & teaching focus:
本節課是一節讀寫課。課程標準要求要培養學生養成良好的閱讀習慣,指導學生運用恰當的閱讀方法獲取信息、處理信息。使學生能從閱讀材料中尋找“選擇生日禮物”的信息。

設計意圖:通過分析照片導入話題,創設良好的語言活動氛圍。引起學生興趣。 Step 2: Warming-up
1. Show some pictures, ask the students to look at the pictures, then talk something about the pictures.
2. Introduce the new words.
3. Read the new words by performing a little magic“Getting parts into one whole(變零為整)”。 4. Read through the list of presents and have the students repeat them after you chorally and individually
5. Brain storm, call back the answers from the whole class.
設計意圖:呈現本課新詞匯,通過圖片的展示創設了活躍的的語言情境,使學生在 樂趣中,將詞匯的音、形、意有機結合,加深對新詞匯的理解,為閱讀做好詞匯鋪墊。
