Step1 Warming up	Show a video of the World Cup.	Enjoy a video.	利用歌曲導入能激發學生的興趣，快速融入課堂，為下面的活動做好準備.
Step2 Pre-reading.	Show some pictures of of different activities and ask the students to make invitations. Present new words in sentences.	Review the sentences and learn the new words.	利用對話邀請的方式復習并在其中融入新單詞，以舊代新，而且用句子教授單詞更能體現語言的實用功能性。
Step3 Fast-reading.	1. Ask the students to go through the passage and answer the questions. 1.Who has a soccer ball?                                        2.What sports do Frank, Gina and Wang Wei play? 2. Memory challenge:(記憶大挑戰） Who do you think says these sentences?	Go through the passage and answer the questions.	引導學生利用略讀的策略獲得文章大意并擬標題，在使用這種策略中體會用法。
Step4 Detail-reading.	Ask the students to read the letter carefully and then finish the tasks. 1.       Check the sentences if they are true or false. 2.       Fill in the blanks. 3.       Put the sentences in the right order. 4.       Answer the questions. 5.     Change the passage into the third person. Step5:Groupwork.	Five students a group to discuss how to write an application  letter and complete the task.	Discuss how to write an application  letter and complete the task.	閱讀之后一定要有鞏固的環節，讓學生進行小組活動可以增加他們團隊合作的精神。
Step8: Summary And homework	Write a report about your friend.		滲透價值觀，讓學生知道體育能夠鍛煉我們的意志。

   本單元的主題是使用have對物品的所屬進行提問及回答，以掌握行為動詞在一般現在時中的構成和使用；同時引導學生使用所學的句型談論自己在球類運動中的喜好。本課時是閱讀課，初一的學生掌握的閱讀方法很少，所以在這堂課里我主要培養學生運用skimming和scanning的閱讀方法，所設計的活動也是初一學生能夠參與并且完成的，所以學生應該能夠接受并且順利參與課堂活動。
