教材內容分析
Parts 2a-2c of Section B is the fifth period of this unit. This period focuses on writing ability practice. First they will learn a short passage about the Yu Mei’s favorite subjects. During the fourth period a listening practice teach students how to talk about time schedule. Part 2a list students some description words and help students to describe some subjects. Part 2b give students an example and help them to understand a passage. In the Part 2c students will learn to fill in another time schedule.
2教材目標
1.Students will be able to identify some expressions of a person’s favorite subject and use them fluently, such as Mrs. useful , a useful subject , from…to… lesson , an hour and so on.
2.Students will be able to use what they have learned to talk about their own favorite subjects.
3.Students will be able to relate their knowledge to their everyday life, and make different kinds of resolutions.

活動1【導入】Sing an English song
Step 1:Preparation Lead-in ( 2 minutes ) The teacher greets the students by singing an easy English song “Ten Little Indian Boys”. The teacher can encourage them to be active in class. They can clap their hands while singing. (學生們和教師一起邊拍手邊唱英文歌曲不僅調動了學生們的積極性,而且讓他們放松了身心,融入到課堂的學習氛圍當中。)(Class Work)
活動2【導入】A talk
The teacher talk with the students to pretend some new words like this: Today I’m your new teacher . I got married. Look, this is a photo of my daughter. So you can Call me “Mrs Hao”. My daughter likes art very much . We can say her favorite subject is art . She has an art lesson on Sunday. She likes art because it’s very useful. The teacher teach the students the underlined words and expressions. (通過教師創設情境引入新單詞及短語,讓學生們更容易理解新詞匯。而新詞匯中需要注意的地方如:a useful lesson也通過情境的呈現幫助學生掌握其用法。)
Have the students look at the screen. Look at the description words in 2a. Ask them to talk about their favorite subjects by using these words. Then share with the whole class.
【設計說明:使用2a部分所列舉的形容詞來描述自己所喜歡的學科不僅激發學生的興趣,而且自然的引入本課的話題“My favorite subject”。為創設語境,組織學生學習短文做好鋪墊。】
活動3【活動】A competition
1. After reading some new words and expressions, the teacher encourage the students by saying they clever and great. Then she can present like this: You are good students and I’m a good teacher, too. Look, this is my time schedule on Thursday. I’m busy on Thursday morning. From 7:10 to 8:00, I have the morning reading. My class finishes at 11:00. Then I have a meeting. Use these situation, the teacher can present some new words and expressions. Then put all the new words and expressions cards on the right of the blackboard.
2. Have the students read these vocabularies loudly . And then play a game with them. The teacher point these words, the students read them as quickly as they can.
(通過情境的引入,學生們逐漸掌握了新詞及詞組。而教師利用小游戲的形式帶動學生鞏固新詞匯的讀音,不僅夯實了英語的學習,而且活躍了課堂氣氛。)
活動4【講授】Reading
1. Fast reading
T: Yu Mei is a girl. She is my student. She writes l letter to her friend Jenny and tells her about her favorite subjects. Listen to the letter carefully and underline the subjects Ye Mei likes. Circle the subjects she doesn’t like.
2. Careful reading
1. Ask the students to read the article carefully, then underline the information.
2.Ask the students to complete Yu Mei’s schedule with the information in 2b.
3. Check the answers with the students.
4. Have the students look at the form above, and talk about Yu Mei’s schedule.
5. Summarizing (language items)
Practice reading the article. Have the students notice some of the useful expressions in the article and make some new sentences with them: on Friday, difficult but interesting, from…to… have an art lesson, two hours . Then talk about others’ favorite subjects by using the phrases they have learned.
【設計說明:2b是一篇同步閱讀材料,要求學生通過閱讀,綜合運用所學知識獲得相關信息,發展閱讀能力,從而達到Reading for information, Read for comprehension, Read for language三個目的。通過采用帶著問題快速閱讀,細讀,完成相應聯系的學習策略,利用之前的情境教學及CAI課件來突破2b中的新單詞和重點短語,讓學生先閱讀再講解,從而使學生不斷地使用所學內容,以提高他們靈活運用知識的能力。
活動5【活動】Interview
1.We have talked about many people’s favorite subjects. What’s your favorite subject? And why? Let’s look at the form below. Work in groups of four and interview your classmates in your group.
2.Invite several of the students to be the reporters, interview other students, ask them questions about their own favorite subjects.
Divide the students into small groups, ask them to write an article about the favorite subjects of their classmates and their own.
Ask some of them to report in class. After they finish their reports, let the students find out which group has the most interesting report. Then encourage them.
【設計說明:Do a survey是一個開放性的與學生真實生活相聯系的創造性寫作,引導學生運用所學的目標語言句型My favorite subject is… because….進行Group work , 讓學生們當小記者進行采訪,不僅活躍了課堂氣氛,而已讓所有人都參與進來,鍛煉他們的綜合運用能力。在再讓學生們根據采訪的情形寫出同學們最喜歡的學科及原因,并同時寫出自己最喜歡的學科及原因,不僅將教學緊湊的結合起來,易于學生理解,而且鍛煉了他們的寫作能力,培養了合作學習的策略。匯報完成之后,教師適時的給出評價,利用多元化的評價激發學生的學習積極性。】

Activity 4 Groupwork: What’s your friend and you classmates’ favorite subjects and why? Write an article about it.
