1. Elicit the topic: friends
2.Learn the new words: thin/fat
1. Greetings.
2. Free talk: How are you? What can you do? 3. Sing a song: Good morning.
Lead in the topic: friends. a. Look! Who is she/he? She’s Alice. He’s Danny.
b. Lead in Alice’s friend:
T: Alice, Danny, Eddie and kitty. They are classmates. Who is Alice’s friend?
1. Listen to the tape, find out Alice’s friend. a. Alice: Look! This is Kitty. She’s my friend. She’s thin.
b. Who is Alice’s friend? She’s Kitty. c. Kitty is thin.
2. Learn and practice the new word: thin
a. Learn the word: thin. Compare with the words: mouth/ thank . b. Listen to Kitty:
Kitty: Hello! I’m Kitty. I’m thin.
Compared with Danny. Kitty is thin. Is Danny thin? No.
c. Have students act like Kitty.

3.Lead

new words and practice.
Ss: Hello! I’m Kitty. I’m thin. T: Look! This is Kitty. She’s thin.
3. Learn the new word: fat.
a. Alice has another friend. Who is he? He’s Danny. Is he thin? No, he’s fat.
b. Help Ss pronouncing the word fat correctly. c. lead in some fat friends: Dora Ameng、Hello Kitty…Help students to say: Hello, I’m Dora A meng. I’m fat.
d. Have students chose one character they like and practice to say, then act in the front.
e. Have some students try to introduce: Look! This is Dora A meng. He’s fat.
4. Chant and practice the new words: fat/thin a. Review the word: thin/fat. b. Fat boy, thin girl, one and two. Fat boy, thin girl, I see you! c. Have students practice.
d. Help students try to make some new chant according to the pictures.
5. Lead in the text a. Listen to the tape. b. Follow the tape. c. Read in groups.

d. Have students try to introduce Kitty and Danny again.
e. Play the game: who is tall? f. Practice: Work in three.
S1: Look! This is Demi, She’s tall. Look! This is Randy. He’s short. Demi: Hello! I’m Demi Randy: Hello! I’m Randy.
Enjoy a song of friends. Friends are different. But we are happy together.
