教學目標
知識目標:
1. 通過Look and learn欄目,學生能初步認識會讀hundred、thousand兩個數(shù)詞。
2.通過Listen and say,學生能理解in the wild、in the past、in danger。
3.通過Listen and say,學生操練核心詞匯和句型。
語言技能:
1.通過短文學習,學生會用In the past, there was/were…來描述某種動物過去的數(shù)量。
2.通過關于瀕危動物數(shù)量的描述,能用but now there is/are… only about 來描述某種動物現(xiàn)在的數(shù)量。
情感態(tài)度:
通過動物過去與現(xiàn)在數(shù)量上的強烈對比來讓學生明白瀕危動物面臨滅絕的危險和愛護動物的重要性。

3學情分析
學生是六年級學生,六年級英語在小學英語教學中起著承上啟下的作用,既是五年級的衍生又是初中一年級的鋪墊,除了學習新知識外,還要梳理、總結和鞏固整個小學階段的學習,為今后開始內容、形式和學習方法都全新的中學學習做好充分的準備。小學高年級的學生已經(jīng)出現(xiàn)了兩極分化現(xiàn)象:一部分是對學習英語仍保持著濃厚的學習興趣,他們大多是英語成績比較好的,他們好模仿、愛表現(xiàn)、愛發(fā)表意見、記憶力強,出在學習語言的最佳時期;同時有些學生活潑好動、注意力易分散,常憑興趣做某事。因此在這一學年段應該更加有意識地進行分層次教學,不只在課堂教學中做到分層次,在作業(yè)和評估方面也可以嘗試分層次,在各個方面多關注學習有困難的學生,避免差異的進一步擴大,努力做到面向全體。學生對英語學習有著濃厚的興趣,英語的聽讀能力穩(wěn)步發(fā)展,為學生提供不同方式操練語言的基礎上強化寫的能力。

難點: 1. 正確讀出核心詞匯thousand, hundred, in the wild

5.1.1教學活動
活動1【導入】Pre-task preparations
1, Greetings
Make a introduction of the teacher.
T: Hello, I’m…
Today I’m your new
teacher.
2,Play a film about the wild animals . Then show some descriptions of the wild animals. Have students guess what they are.
活動2【講授】While-task procedures
1, Play the tape” Listen and say”. Have students guess and answer the questions.
T: How many kinds of animals are there in the article? What are they?
2, Talk about the animals.
T: They are pandas. They are black and white. They live in the wild.
They are South China tigers. They are black, brown and white. They live in the wild.
They are blue whales. They are blue. They live in the wild.
3, Show the table on the blackboard. Play the tape” Listen and say” again. Have students answer the questions and complete the first line of the table.
T: How many pandas were there in the past?
Blue whales are blue. They live in the wild. In the past, there were many blue whales.
4, Play” Listen and say” the third time paragraph by paragraph. Have students answer the questions and try to complete the second line of the table.
T: In the past, there were many pandas. Listen again. How many pandas are there in the wild now?
Choose the correct answer.

B, 1600
C, about 1600
活動3【活動】Post-task activities
1, Contrast the number in the past and now. Have students feel that the wild animals are in danger.
(Give the title “Animals in danger”)
2,Have students retell the passage with the table.
Have students think about Miss Guo’s question.

1. Listen and read.
2. Retell the passage.
3. Copy the new words.
4. Prepare the contents on P34--Do a survey.
