Unit 3 Weather教學設計
一.教材分析
本節課教學內容為PEP小學英語四年級下冊 Unit 3 Weather Part A Let’s learn 。這一單元的主要教學內容是學習形容天氣的英語表達, 本課時通過天氣預報員預報中國幾大城市的氣溫和天氣狀況,學習運用warm/cold/cool/hot這些形容詞來表達天氣情況。本課時的單詞對多數學生來說并不難,個別同學通過自學就已經掌握了一些重點單詞,就是weather report對他們來說有些難度,而且運用方面還不夠熟練。
二.教學目標
a. 能夠聽、說、認讀單詞hot, cold, warm, cool, weather。 b. 能夠熟練運用句型It’s warm/cool/hot/cold in Beijing/…來介紹不同地方的天氣特征。
c. 培養學生自主學習的能力和合作精神。 三.教學重、難點
1. 重點:能聽、說、認讀單詞weather , warm , cold , hot , cool。 2. 難點:運用新學的單詞和句型模擬天氣預報。 四.教學準備 多媒體課件 五.教學步驟 Step1. Warming up 1. Greetings and let’s chant.
2. Chant: ABCDEFG, father mother and I. CDEFGAB, sing and dance under the tree.
Step2. Revision
1. Read the words: father, mother, brother --- weather(通過結尾相同,學習weather單詞)
2. Write the title – Unit 3 Weather Step3. Presentation
1. Learn the new words: cold, warm, hot and cool ⑴. warm :
T: Look at the picture. So many trees, I think spring is coming. It’s very warm. Warm, can you guess the Chinese meaning ? 板出warm。
⑵. hot :
T: Is it warm? It’s very hot. (師作熱的動作)板出hot。 ⑶. cool :
T: Is it hot? Is it hot? ⑷.cold:
T: This is an old man. Old. Cold, how to read? Hold, how to read? Read the sentence: The old man hold the sheep in a cold day. 2. Practice the new words. ⑴. Read the words. ⑵. Translation games.
⑶. Let’s chant: The Season Song
Warm ,warm, 天氣暖,春天到,燕子銜泥柳條擺。 Hot, hot, 天氣熱,夏天到,青蛙唱歌荷花開。 Cool, cool, 天氣涼,秋天到,農民豐收樂開懷。 Cold, cold, 天氣冷,冬天到,樹兒樹兒戴雪帽。
2. Learn the places: Beijing, Harbin, Lhasa and Hong Kong ⑴. The teacher describes the places, the students guess them. ⑵. Listen to the tape and then fill in the blanks.
Good morning. This is the weather report. It’s warm in Beijing
today. It’s hot in Hong Kong. It’s cool in Lhasa. It’s cold in Harbin.
⑶. Let the students fill in the blanks. 1. lt’s warm in _______. 2. It’s hot in __________. 3. It’s ______ in Lhasa. 4. It’s ______ in Harbin.
⑷.Read the sentences about the listening. 3. Have a try.
Let the students make a weather report . (師做示范,讓生模仿天氣預報員來預報天氣)
4. Let’s chant. (播放音樂,生起立拍手有節奏的說) Weather, weather, how’s the weather? Beijing, Beijing, it’s warm in Beijing. Weather, weather, how’s the weather? Lhasa, Lhasa, it’s cool in Lhasa. Weather, weather, how’s the weather?
Hong Kong, Hong Kong, it’s hot in Hong Kong. Weather, weather, how’s the weather? Harbin, Harbin, it’s cold in Harbin. 5. Read and say.
The teacher shows a text, let the students discuss and make a weather report.
A: Hello, Mike! Where are you?
B: I am in Shanghai now. It is hot today. How is the weather in Kunming?
A: It is very warm. We can fly kites.
B: I will go to Xinjiang next week. It’ll be cool.
A: Have a good time. But I like Heilongjiang.
B: Heilongjiang? I don’t like Heilongjiang. It’s too cold. ⑴. How many places can you find?How’s the weather?
⑵. Group work. (小組合作討論,共同完成天氣預報,表演出來) Step4. Consolidation and extension
1.出示世界地圖,師說想到澳大利亞去旅游。讓生了解南北半球的季節是相反的,出國旅游一定要了解世界天氣。
2. 出示有關天氣的符號,告訴學生在下一節課的學習中,老師會講解這些天氣符號,繼續講解有關天氣的知識。 Step5. Homework
