課 時 1課時 學(xué)情分析
本課時的教學(xué)對象為四年級上學(xué)期的學(xué)生。學(xué)生在先前的學(xué)習(xí)中已積累了一些關(guān)于形容詞的表達。同時,對于中英常見的節(jié)日也有初步了解。但對于節(jié)日的了解還有待深入,語言的交際性還有待提高。本課教學(xué)設(shè)計遵循英語的應(yīng)用性原則,為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)相應(yīng)的場景,讓學(xué)生自由交流,靈活運用。
因是借班上課, 教師對學(xué)生不是很熟悉, 需要有教學(xué)機智, 需適時、適度、適量加以調(diào)控。
教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1. 能聽懂、會說、認讀,并在四線三格內(nèi)正確書寫單詞 happy,new,old,并能對事物進行描述。
2. 能了解Happy New Year!的含義,并能在特定場景下使用該句向他人進行祝福,同時向他人簡單的介紹新年的主要活動。
3. 通過各種活動培養(yǎng)起獨立思考問題的能力,能全面的看待事物。 教學(xué)重點
1. Vocabulary: happy, new, old 2. Expressions: Happy New Year!
3. Extension expressions:say happy new year, send a card, have a party, clean the room,
make a wish, enjoy the fireworks 教學(xué)難點 1. 能正確的運用形容詞happy, new, old對事物進行描述。 2. 能總結(jié)新年的主要活動,并能加入自己的觀點進行討論。

1. "Please show me your happy face." 2. "Let's write happy together."Do the air writing for the words “happy” 3.“There are so many days in a year. Which day makes you happy most?” “Can you make a guess which day makes me happy most?”
“January 1st makes me happy most, because I can receive many gifts on New Year’s Day.”
1. Show happy faces to the teacher.
2. Do the air writing. 3. Answer the questions.
To lead in the topic and learn the new word “happy” naturally.

Presentation of new class 25 minutes “new”(4 minutes)
1. “Look! These are my New Year’s
gifts. Guess! What’s in this big box?”
2. (Remove the matte of the pictures on the whiteboard by students)“Look!
What’s this?”
3. “How’s the sweater?”
Do the air writing for the words
“new”.
4. “Look at my new sweater. It’s pretty. I like it.”
5. “Now, here are some gifts for you. Who wants to have a look?”
6. I know you brought your gifts today. Now, can you share your gifts with your classmates?
“old”(4 minutes)
1. “I saw you have a…just now. Is it new? No, it’s old.”
2. Do the air writing for the words “old”.
3. “I have an old dress too. My dress is old. But I like it. Because it’s the birthday gift from my mother. Do you have some old thing, do you like it?”
Practice for the new words(4 minutes)
“Do you want to have more gifts? Let’s go treasure hunt for New Year. Please close your eyes. I prepare lots of gift for you.”
“Now, please open your eyes. Let’s find your gifts in the dark and describe it.”
“Happy New Year” (5 minutes)
1. You see, I can receive so many gifts. I’m very happy. What should we say to each other on New Year’s Day?
2. “Great! Happy New Year!” (Distribute the cards to each group) 3. “OK! Now let’s write Happy New Year together on your cards. Please remember big letter H, big letter N and big letter Y.”
4. Now, you can send your card to your friend in the group.
1. Guess.
2. “A sweater.”
3. “It’s new.”

4. Follow the teacher to repeat.
5. Show the gifts and say “Look at my new... It’s pretty. I like it.”
6. Share the gifts and practice the sentences in group.

Use the function of projector lamp on the whiteboard to discover the new or old things by students, and describe them with the expressions they learnt.

Let’s see what happened in their school, OK?” 2. Play the video of the dialogue in Lesson 35. 3. Repeat the dialogue after the video. 4. Act out the story in the group. 5. Enjoy the song <Happy New Year>

Extension knowledge 11 minutes
【The New Year’s activities】 The assessment pictures will form six pictures about the New Year’s activities. 1. “Now, I have a question for you. What can we do on New Year’ s Day? ” Play the video and introduce the New Year’s activities to students. 2. You see, Miss Liu brings us two games about the New Year in her card. ①Please match New Year’s activities with the right pictures. Reward: Make a wish for the New Year. ②Choose a picture and talk about it. (Show the hint on the whiteboard) Reward: Video-How do you say happy new year in your country?
1. Answer the question after the video. "We can say happy new year/ send a card/ have a party/ clean the room/ make a wish/ enjoy the fireworks." 2. ①Match the expressions with the right pictures with their ipads. Reward: Make a wish for the New Year. ②Make up a new dialogue according hint. Reward: Enjoy the video.
1. The assessment pictures will lead in the extension expressions for the new year.
2. To put the extension
expressions into practice.

【Homework】
1. One star task: Recite the dialogue of Lesson 35.
2. Two stars task: Make up a new dialogue.
3. Three stars task: Introduce New Year’s Day.

Provide different homework for different levels of students.
