教學設計
課標及學習目標：
1. Improve the ability to get the main idea.

重點難點：

教學設計（包含目標引領—學思靜悟---精講點撥—目標達成---交流合作）主要以活動貫穿整節課，來完成本節課的教學目標。
Activity 1. Watch and talk
S1. What kind of challenges are we humans fighting against according to the video? ____________________________________________________________
S2. If we humans want to fight for victory, what kind of boundaries should we break?

（活動一：觀看視頻并且說的活動導入，以新冠肺炎為主題的視頻搭配兩個問題引入話題，讓學生了解人類現在正在面臨的抗擊新冠的挑戰，并且引發相關的話題breaking boundaries的思考，進而引起學生興趣的同時，為課本結尾的共建人類命運共同體的目標達成首尾呼應。）
Activity 2. Predict and find
What do you think will be talked about in the passage?

（活動二：預測和尋找信息活動。讀前讓學生通過文本圖片預測課文內容，教師提示導入視頻與所學文本是類似故事，進而引導學生去尋找文本打破了什么樣的boundaries來進入文本的閱讀。）

（活動二：預測和尋找信息活動。通過引導學生自己讀并弄清楚什么是MSF，讓學生知道了解MSF是一個獨立的非營利性無國界醫生組織。）

（活動三：速讀活動。通過引導學生自己速讀找主題句，弄清段落大意。讓學生從整體上把握文章結構。）

（活動四：細讀活動。先細讀前兩段，通過設計“為什么今天比較特殊”和“為什么作者會去利比亞”，讓學生加深了解故事情節和人物情況。初步提到日志組成部分中的事件(event) 。再引導學生細讀第三段到第六段，完成表格題目，幫助學生了解日志的事件和作者情感和感受，讓學生會用形容詞表達人物感受，激發學生興趣，當然此題目有一定的難度。最后一段仍然以問題形式，讓學生了解日志或者說是作者的目標。 在此活動中，設計各種題目，讓學生不斷與文本互動，去感受文本，體驗作者的奉獻精神和責任心，去接觸人類命運共同體，讓學生有所得，有所感。）

（活動五：思考分享活動。通過對這些問題思考、討論、分析、成文和分析，讓學生能更深層次的思考故事背后的情感，提高學生基礎的語言能力的同時，同時提升學生分析問題的學習能力和合作精神，有利于對學生國際文化意識的培養的同時，提升解決問題，面臨挑戰的堅強意志。）

（活動六：討論和書寫活動。通過小組討論，讓每個小組只負責寫下日志的一個作用然后分享，讓學生了解日志體及其作用，最重要的是希望通過此環節培養學生在平時生活中養成記日志的好習慣。）
Activity 7. Discuss and present
1. Discuss in groups, and make a list of boundaries in society.
2. Choose one of the boundaries you have listed and talk about how to break it.
  (Your presentation can be a speech or an interview.)
3. Share your experiences or stories of breaking boundaries with the class.(when, 
  where, what,why, how…).
（活動七：討論和展示活動。通過小組討論，讓學生用自己喜歡的任何形式展示他們自己對boundaries的理解。通過和文本不斷地互動，讓學生用理論指導實踐，真正理解單元話題“打破邊界”，讓學生享受享受英語課程的過程，感受語言的美好，真正體驗到學習成功的體驗，打破邊界后人際關系的和諧，社會的美好。）
