Teaching procedures: Step I: Lead-in.
Show students a photo of mine to introduce the topic of this period.
Look at this picture. Who is she? What does she do?(yeah, this is my job. My job is to a teacher. Our topic for today is about different jobs.(Write the title on the blackboard)

Step II :Vocabulary
1. Ask two students to share the pictures related to jobs that they are familiar with.
Yesterday I ask you to collect some pictures about some jobs. Are you ready? Now who‟d like to be the first one to show your information with us?
2. Show the students more jobs that they may be unfamiliar with.

3. Introduce the topic of the suffix.
Now we have learned many job names. Please look at the words on the screen and pay attention to the letters in yellow. What are they called in English?(suffix) In Chinese, it means „后綴‟ . Now can you tell me how to make a new word in this way? Can you draw a conclusion?(If we add a suffix to a word, we can often make a new word.) 4. Do some exercises.
1). Give students three minutes to write down twenty five job names and draw their attention to the suffix of each word. Check a student‟s work together. 2). Draw a conclusion.
Ask the students the following questions: What suffixes can often be added to a verb?
What suffixes can often be added to a noun or an adjective? (v.+ -er, -or, -ant ,-ent, -ist; )
(n.+ -ist, -ian, -er; (adj.+ -ist, ian)

step III: Competition 1. Choose lucky stars.
Today we have learnt many words related to jobs, but do you know how to describe a job in English? In this period, we will have a competition about describing and guessing the jobs. All of you will be divided into three groups. Before the competition, please choose the lucky stars.
Draw students‟ attention to the following sentence structures:

Give students four minutes for discussion and then ask them to talk about their dream jobs.

本節課圓滿完成了教學任務,順利達到了教學目標。
1. 發揮了多媒體和網絡輔助教學的優勢,以圖片/視頻為載體,用直觀的形式展現各種職業,并通過不同顏色字體給學生滲透通過記憶詞綴來記憶詞匯的學習策略,讓學生在輕松快樂的氛圍中更好地掌握好詞匯。 2. 課堂氣氛活躍,尤其是在描述并競猜職業這一環節中,學生全面參與課堂活動。 3. 本節課主要活動:學生展示,老師補充展示,選擇幸運星描述職業,描述并競猜職業,討論夢想職業。教師把課堂還給學生,突出了學生的主體地位,并在活動中引導學生自主學習、合作學習和探究學習,較好地培養了學生團隊合作的精神和用英語思維的能力。
在今后的教學中,本人將再接再厲,不斷提升自己的教學水平。
