Topic: Book 2 Module 6 Films and TV Programmes Grammar and Reading Analysis of the teaching material:
The topic of this module is films and TV programmes. The grammar section is about adverbs and adverbial phrases, which are presented in the reading material. It aims to make students identify different kinds of adverbs, that is, adverbs of frequency, time, place and manner in the reading context. Meanwhile, students should know about the positions and functions of adverbs and adverbial phrases in the sentence, and learn to put them in correct order in a sentence. Analysis of learners:
The learners are students from an ordinary class of senior I. They are of different levels, but most of them lack the motivation to learn English, especially in learning English grammar. Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aims
1) Enable the students to identify different kinds of adverbs, that is, adverbs of frequency, time, place and manner in the reading context.
2) Enable the students to know about the position, function and the correct order of adverbs and adverbial phrases in the sentence. 2. Ability aims
1) Help the students learn how to use adverbs and adverbial phrases in the sentence. 2) Develop the strategies of using language correctly in daily life. 3. Emotional aims
Arouse the students’ interest in learning English grammar by presenting grammar in reading materials, and organize different kinds of activities to encourage students speak and use English correctly.

1. Help the students to learn about the position of adverbs in the sentences.

2. Ask the students to underline adverbs and adverbial phrases in the passage and divide them into four groups --- adverbs of frequency, time, place and manner.
3. Ask the students to observe carefully and sum up the rules of the position of adverbs and adverbial phrases.
4. Ask students to put the words in the correct order to make a sentence and then sum up the rules of the order of adverbs and adverbial phrases
in
one sentence.
5. Arrange more practice to let the students understand the usage of adverbs.
1. Read the definition together and try to understand it.
2. Read the passage again and underline adverbs and adverbial phrases in the passage, and then divide them into four groups. 3. Observe carefully and sum up the rules of the position of adverbs and adverbial phrases in the sentences.
4. Put the words in the correct order to make a sentence and
then sum up the rules of the order of adverbs and adverbial phrases in one sentence. 5. Do more practice to put different adverbs in order.

3、教學反思:
本節課是以閱讀為載體的語法教學。在本課的教學過程中,避免了孤立的、單純的講練語法,而是把語法內容放到具體的語言環境中,從多個維度探索語法規律。整個教學過程按照學生的認知規律,由感性到理性,由探究到應用,由口頭至書面,環環相扣,步步落實。首先,采用了發現式和歸納法教學,讓學生通過觀察、發現、歸納和運用的教學模式逐步掌握語法知識及構式,較好的完成了教學目標。其次,采用小游戲、聽英文歌等學生喜聞樂見的形式,選擇貼近學生學習生活的閱讀材料,這些手段都使得本節課更趨形象化,趣味化,激發了學生學習的熱情。此外,讓學生運用所學語法知識談論自己的學校生活,學以致用,真正實現了通過語言環境提升學生運用語法能力的目的。但是,在今后的語法教學中,怎樣堅持在語境中教授語法,而且讓不同英語水平的學生都能積極地參與到課堂活動中來,并能做到學以致用,使語法教學不再枯燥,將是我今后語法教學的研究課題及方向。
