教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1、能夠正確使用下列單詞和詞組:
1) Words of 12 months. 2) Some festivals.
3) writer, find out, real, at the age of…, newspaper, exact, date, become, in the 1860s
2、能正確使用下列句型:
He was born in 1835 in Missouri.
He left school and began work at the age of twelve.
—Did he stay in Missouri?
—No, he went to New York. He didn’t come to China.
3、能夠聽懂談?wù)撨^去經(jīng)歷的簡單對話,并獲取事情發(fā)生的準(zhǔn)確時(shí)間。
4、掌握下列不規(guī)則動詞的過去式:
be, become, begin, do, get, go, know, leave, read, take, write
5、通過學(xué)習(xí),了解名家馬克·吐溫簡要的人生經(jīng)歷。
2學(xué)情分析
在上一單元學(xué)生對于一般過去時(shí)有了一些了解,也能用含有be動詞的和含有規(guī)則變化動詞過去式的一般過去時(shí)講簡單的故事,但對于詞匯和句型的綜合運(yùn)用學(xué)生還是缺乏足夠的練習(xí)。
3重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)
1、能夠聽懂并熟練運(yùn)用不規(guī)則動詞的過去式并且進(jìn)行口頭交際。
2、掌握不規(guī)則動詞的過去式和能詢問并回答有關(guān)過去的事情和經(jīng)歷。(難點(diǎn))

2.T: Can you tell me which festival it is and in which month it is?
3. Have students finish exercises of Activity1.
以舊引新,先引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)入新的模內(nèi)容,訓(xùn)練了學(xué)生的反應(yīng),同時(shí)又在無形中培養(yǎng)學(xué)生大膽說英語的習(xí)慣活躍了課堂氣氛。
活動2【活動】聽前活動
T: Now we are going to, listen something about Betty’s grandfather, please listen and finish the exercises on Activity 2 on Page54.
3. Show students a famous novel: Tom Sawyerand lecture the new words: writer, find out Mark Twain, real name, Samuel Clemens, be born, Missouri, at the age of…
活動3【活動】授新
1. Listen and answer:
(1)You did a good job. Now, let’s get to know more about Mark Twain, please listen to the tape with your books closed and find out:
①People can find out about Tom Sawyer ______. (A. on TV. B. on the Internet C. on the newspaper)
②Mark Twain became famous_____.(A. in 1835 B. in 1860 C. in the 1860s)
(2) Open your book, turn to Page54.
Read the dialogue and complete the table about Mark Twain.
(3) Have students to check the answers in groups.
2.Read and remember. Ask students to read the dialogue and try to find out some important sentences by themselves:
(1)by… eg, This beautiful is by Jay Chou.
(2) The math problem is so difficult, I can’t find out the answer.
(3) at the age of…= at…= at age = when …was…
(4) I don’t know the exact date.
3. Read and find out the past form of the verbs in the conversation.
4. A competition of telling out anything about Mark Twain without looking at the book.
